Dev Hynes has spent over a decade crafting an extraordinary body of work, and his influence continues to resonate across culture. As Blood Orange, the English musician, singer, and producer has released five albums to date—from the debut Coastal Grooves (2011), through the breakthrough Cupid Deluxe (2013) and Freetown Sound (2016), the acclaimed Negro Swan (2018), to last year’s Essex Honey (2025), featuring appearances from Caroline Polachek, Lorde, Daniel Caesar, Brendan Yates of Turnstile, Ben Watt of Everything but the Girl, and Zadie Smith. Throughout his career, Hynes has also collaborated with icons such as FKA twigs, Lorde, Britney Spears, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, Solange, and Sky Ferreira. In 2022, Blood Orange opened 15 of Harry Styles’ shows at Madison Square Garden and served as the musical director for Styles’ Grammy performance.
